Repair and Replacement of Tiled Roofs

Often leaks in tiled roofs can be caused by slipped or cracked roof tiles, If the problem can be fixed by simply replacing one tile or more we will do this.Eastern Roofing Services undertake work on newly built roofs using new or reclaimed roof tiles as well as re-tiling old roofs this can usually be done by simply re-using the old tiles.

Repair and Replacement of Slate Roofs

Just as roof tiles can slip and crack so can slates and this can be a fairly routine job to repair a slate roof.We also undertake work on new slate roof installations and re-slating old roofs.

Lead work and Lead Flashing

Traditionally, the junction between tiles and brick has been sealed with lead flashing, whilst valleys between roofs have been sealed with the use of a lead ‘soaker’. We use both lead flashing and modern alternatives, in keeping with your property or specific requirements of the project.

Re-bedding and Replacement of Ridge and Hip tiles.

Over time ridge and hip tiles can become loose as the mortar holding them in place breaks down due to weathering and old age.These should be replaced before and further damage is done to the roof.

Flat Roofing Repair and Replacement

Flat roofs by their construction don’t last as long as tiled or slate roofs we can replace or repair your flat roof before damage is done to the building.Alternatively we can quote you for installing a pitched roof (where possible).

Installation of Velux and Dorma Windows

Velux windows are an inexpensive way to get natural sunlight into a room. These need to be installed by a professional to ensure they don’t leak! We have installed many of these for our happy clients.If you need to make a little more useable space, we can also install a full dormer window.

Fascias and Soffits

The roofline is often ignored when it comes to regular maintenance, but water can get in through rotten fascias and soffits, potentially damaging the roof timbers. Eastern Roofing Services can repair or replace your soffits, fascias and bargeboards, either with traditional timber or modern uPVC in a choice of colors. Eaves felt and rotten rafter ends are repaired as a matter of course during these works.
